My paintings take inspiration from observations constantly around me - architectural vistas – pieces of wood, peeling paint on doors and walls; often working from photographs, drawings, prints, and linocuts.

My paintings tend to morph into semi-abstract and figurative images which I develop further using circle and line formations then sparked by the accidental and spontaneous play of mark-making but always with an emphasis on colour and texture. I continually experiment using various mediums, including acrylic, household paint, oil pastels, and hardware materials, which add to a rich resource and all lend to interesting surfaces, with the intention of creating a sense of curiosity and intrigue.
